Important

Another successful match at the Sioux Falls Irish Fair! The weather was warm, but great. There were a lot of fans - people watching that were new and had a great interest in the game - there were also a few rugby veterans watching, wishing on days past - one fine lady even snapped a picture w/ a couple ruggers to send to her daughter back home (who plays). Gene Nelson did an excellent job running the microphone - educating the crowd on the game, and throwing out interesting facts and stories. Thanks to the Dakota Irish Fair, it was/is an honor to be apart of the yearly festivities - we can't wait to come play again next year!

Final score of the 2nd Annual Irish Fair Rugby Match: Sioux Falls 62 - The Éagsúlacht 19

ED

This years Irish Fair game was considerably more significant, especially for one particular player. The Sioux Falls Crow said goodbye to long time player Ed Reesman. Ed finally decided to hang up the boots after 'only' 9 years with the Crow - apparently playing the previous 17 years (26 total if you're keeping track), and being at the youthful age of 44, prompted (I think barely) Ed to take a step back from the game. I'm sure spending time w/ his family, will considerably help in filling the void and time that rugby has taken up - however, I highly doubt we've seen the end of him.

We may have lost a great player, but I'd lay odds that we've just gained an incomparable fan!
